This work is inspired by Ellsworth Kelly’s Colors for a Large Wall which was painted in 1951 and hangs at The Museum of Modern Art in NY City. It is comprised of sixty-four 12” squares. In an homage to Mr. Kelly, I am painting my own sixty-four 12” squares but using my own imagery. Included here are a selection.
As Mr.Kelly was a lovely and generous man to our Columbia County community, I am excited to honor him in this way.
This project was supported by The Martha Boschen Porter Fund: A fund of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation.
